Mai Davies
Mai Davies has spent 30 years as a broadcaster and journalist, working in TV and Radio. She has been a Sky News anchor and presented TV news and political shows for BBC and ITV. In radio Mai worked for Radio 4, 5 Live and BBC Radio Wales. Mai has fronted every format from rolling news, to long-form interview shows, chat shows, art programmes, business shows and phone-ins, and interviewed thousands of people from every walk of life.
She also works as a consultant and trainer for the Thomson Foundation and BBC Media Action, running courses for journalists on talk show presentation, TV news presentation and interviewing skills. She has trained would-be presenters from dozens of countries. She is now using that knowledge to help the growing number of podcasters to professionalise their presentation skills. Mai will be sharing her decades of experience in a specialist session on interviewing.
