How to get the most
out of your visit

Attending the IWPF is an investment in your podcast and podcasting career.
Here are some tips for getting the most out of the event.

Get to know people before the event

Let people know you’re going to be at the event via your podcast and social media accounts. Use the hashtag #ContentisQueen so that other attendees can find you and we can signal boost.

Arrive early

Get to the venue in plenty of time and use the breaks in between sessions to get to know other attendees. The beauty of the International Women’s Podcast Festival is that you could be sitting next to your new podcast bff or the person who’ll commission your break-through show.

Share your insights

Use what you’ve learned at the festival to help your audience. Whether it’s a Twitter thread on you top takeaways or a Linkedin post on how you’re switching things up share the love and bring attention to your work.

Bring cards or QR codes

Make it easy for people to remember you after the event. A business card or a QR code to open your landing page on people’s phones is a great way to ensure you can connect after the festival.

Take notes

We know that studies show writing down information helps us retain it so grab a notebook and get those bullet points down.

Follow up

Don’t be shy after the event. Reach out to the people you’ve met or whose sessions you attended. You never know where these connections will lead and podcasting is always better with friends.
