Youmna El Sayed
Youmna El Sayed is a highly respected, award winning journalist. She received the Civil Journalism Award for my coverage of the Gaza War and the Hero Award from the IPI and IMS as a collective award on behalf of All Palestinian Journalists.
She is an Al Jazeera English Correspondent, based in the Gaza Strip. She is a mother of four children, and has been living in Gaza with her family for the past ten years.
Over the past 8 years, she has worked as a journalist for different international news outlets, including TRT Digital, TRT World, RT, Kuwait English Channel, CNA, the AP and as Al Jazeera English Correspondent since 2021.
Her motivation has always been to convey the human stories of the people and to be a voice for the voiceless.
