Maya is South Africa's leading consumer financial journalist and has won many awards and accolades during her twenty year career in educating and advocating for consumers.
She is founder of personal finance site Maya on Money and her podcast My Money, My Lifestyle recently won a prestige award as the best audio broadcast in financial journalism. The award-winning series focused on the need for women to take control of their finances by sharing the story of a recently divorced mother and financial impact of her choices. The series interviewed a family lawyer, financial planner, estate expert and marriage therapist.
