Aniska Sharma

Anishka Sharma is a Senior Editor and Executive Producer at Whistledown Productions, where she works on productions across the genres of factual documentaries, narrative podcasts, arts programming, and audio dramas for clients such as the BBC, Audible, and Spotify. Her love of audio lies in immersive storytelling; especially hearing creative ways to highlight issues of social injustice and underrepresented stories.

Her investigative documentary work includes programming on racial bias in modern medicine, rape trials in the UK, examining global cases of injustice against the LGBTQ+ community, and the inside story of hostages held captive by ISIS in Syria. She also worked in the launch and development of BBC strand series such as My Perfect Country and My Perfect City on the BBC World Service, as well as Positive Thinking on Radio 4 and the BBC's Tomorrow's World podcasts.

Most recently, Anishka worked on the investigative podcast series The Bias Diagnosis which won the Radio and Podcast Category at the Amnesty International Media Awards 2022. Anishka has won Gold awards at the Audio Production Awards and is an alumnus of the Radio Academy’s 30 Under 30. Anishka is also a steering team member for the charity Mutltirack - which creates opportunities for people who are underrepresented in the audio industry on the basis of race, class, and disability. Anishka will be sharing her expertise on the narrative podcasts panel.
